Calling all world travelers,
Are you a Miami University student? Have you traveled abroad through a study abroad program? Do you have a funny story, a well written blog post, or the perfect Kodak moment stored away somewhere? Do you want to share your experiences with other Miami students to convince them to study abroad too? Well, we at A Thousand Words want to hear and share your story. Send us the story and an accompanying photograph of that amazing abroad memory, the one that you think everyone should have the chance to experience. We want it all.
A Thousand Words is a recently founded online travel magazine created for Joseph Bates’ Literary Marketplace English 321 class. We are focused on the study abroad experiences of Miami University students. We want to use your experiences to encourage others to study abroad and guide them in choosing a program. We are currently seeking written works and photography centered around the favorite study abroad programs of Miami University students.
The written works should be 1,000 words or less and in .doc/.docx form.
Any photographs should be of nature and scenery (not of you and your friends) and should be submitted in .jpeg form.
The deadline for submissions has been extended until Wednesday, April 22, 2015. There is a limit of 2 submissions per person. Please email any submissions to atwsubmissions@gmail.com and allow one week for response.
Please include your name, class year, major, study abroad program, and an interesting fact about you or your study abroad experience!
